FOLLOWING A VERY SUCCESSFUL 2009 PROGRAMME OF COURSES, I HAVE PUT TOGETHER AN EXCITING PROGRAMME FOR 2010 AND HOPE THAT YOU WILL BE TEMPTED AND INSPIRED TO CHOOSE ONE......NEW FOR 2010! Slimmers Good Cooking DayAfter all the chocs, turkey etc. enjoyed over the festive season, learn how to make nourishing meals for all the family while cutting right down on all the foods which contribute to putting on weight. From soups to main courses to puds - make tasty meals which are suitable for all the family so you don't have to cook separate food for yourself. Learn how to get around eating too much bread, butter, cakes, gravy etc. and still enjoy your food.Indian Cookery DayThis has been the most requested Course! My good friend, Dalbir, who has raised four children and is a fabulous cook, will get you making Pakoras from scratch with a lovely dip to complement them, a flavoursome main course dish, possibly with chicken or perhaps vegetarian, home made chapattis and a lovely dessert. This course is also suitable for novice cooks and is a wonderful day of tantalising aromas!Italian DayThis has had a lot of requests too – there is so much more to Italian cooking than just Pasta! Come and learn how to make lots of dishes, some with pasta and some with meat, but all made from scratch. Though there is a marvellous range of fresh pasta available in the shops, we will cover making homemade pasta as well !Baking DayThis is the day that lots of people seem to fear – everybody can bake and after this day you certainly will. We will cover breads - yeast and soda, scones, tarts and cakes. Naturally we will eat what we make!Hen Day at Cooking in the Kitchen No, we are not cooking hens! This is a cookery course for the Bride-to-be and a group of her friends (maximum party is six) who would like to spend the day at Cooking in the Kitchen getting some hands-on experience of how to feed the man in her life, entertain and impress mother-in-law and entertain friends! We will maybe start with breakfast dishes and of course a glass of Champagne and since it is early in the day top it up with some freshly squeezed orange juice. (Don’t have breakfast before you come!) Then we will…Make a couple of quick starters to take the stress out of having friends around. Make a couple of stunning main courses to impress any man and finally…Make a couple of nourishing puddings to finish off the day in style. Then when all this is done, you can have a sit down and eat what you have cooked and another glass to celebrate the day!Click here for more Cookery Days!
